THE SECTION GIVES SCHOLARSHIPS/AWARDS TO VARIOUS STUDENTS. THE MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS ARE THREE $3000 SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL JUNIOR CHEMISTRY MAJORS. OTHERS INCLUDE TWO PROJECT SEED STUDENTS , TRAVEL AWARDS TO THE NATIONAL MEETING, AND AWARDS TO WINNERS OF POSTER PRESENTATIONS.


THE SECTION PAID FOR AREA TEACHERS TO ATTEND THE GREEN CHEMISTRY COURSE FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS.


THE LOCAL SECTION HOSTED THE 2019 NORM MEETING IN PORTLAND. ALL INCOME AND EXPENSES WERE FUNNELED SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL JUNIOR CHEMISTRY MAJORS. OTHERS INCLUDE TWO PROJECT SEED STUDENTS , TRAVEL AWARDS TO ATTENDEES AT THE FOUR-DAY MEETING. 2020 EXPENSE WAS THE FINAL PAYMENT TO ORGANIZING BODY.
