TO PROVIDE SUPPORTFOR THE COOS BAY PUBLIC LIBRARY, AND TOWARDS THE BUILDING OF A (MUCH NEEDED) NEW LIBRARY BUILDING.

WE RECEIVED TWO GRANTS TOTALLING $110,000 FOR NEW FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED FOR THE CHILDREN'S DEPARTMENT OF THE LIBRARY. AS THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR (JUNE 30) $105,423 OF THESE GRANTS HAD BEEN SPENT, WITH THE BALANCE ON BACK-ORDER.
THIS IS FOR THE FUND-RAISING EXPENSES FOR THE LIBRARY, INCLUDING "ADVERTISING" THE NEED FOR A NEW LIBRARY BUILDING, AQS WELL AS UPDATING EQUIPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE TO MEET MODERN USAGE NEEDS.
TO PROVIDE THE PUBLIC WITH INFORMATION ABOUT LIBRARY SERVICES AND PROGRAMS AVAILABLE. THIS EXPENDITURE IS ALL FOR RADIO MARKETING EXPENSE.
