COGNIZART 360 ARTS CAMP - OVER 100 KIDS, AGES 6 1/2- TO 12, REGISTERED TO BE IMMERSED IN THE ARTS. AN ADDITIONAL 20 KIDS, AGES 13 TO 18, PARTICIPATED AS COUNSELORS, EARNING VALUABLE VOLUNTEER AND WORK EXPERIENCE. THE CAMP GIVES KIDS A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE ALL ARTS - MUSIC, THEATER, DANCE, AND VISUAL ARTS - FOR ONE OR MORE WEEKS. NEARLY 30% ATTENDED ON FULL OR PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP.
28TH YOUNG ARTISTS DEBUT! COMPETITION & CONCERTO CONCERT - SIX YOUNG VIRTUOSI AGED 13 TO 17 WERE SELECTED DURING AN EXTENSIVE AUDITION PROCESS. THEY WERE THEN COACHED WITH THE GOAL OF PERFORMING CONCERTOS WITH THE OREGON SYMPHONY AND OREGON BALLET THEATRE ORCHESTRAS FOR A RECORD-BREAKING AUDIENCE OF OVER 350.
