(1) TO FOSTER GREATER CULTURAL UNDERSTANDINGBETWEEN OREGONIANS AND IMMIGRANTS; (2) TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO THEPUBLIC TO LEARN ABOUT THE IMMIGRANT STORY AND OTHER NON-AMERICAN THEIR TRADITIONSAND CUSTOMS; (3) TO BUILD A BRIDGE OF CULTURAL AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING, ETHNICTOLERANCE, AND STRIVE FOR A MORE HARMONIOUS EXISTENCE WHERE HATE AND DISTRUST ARE ADISTANT MEMORY; (4) AND TO ASSIST RECENT CHINESE IMMIGRANTS AND THE ASIANCOMMUNITY IN OREGON AND VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIALAND SOCIAL SERVICE AND TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE AND GOOD MEMBERS OF THEIRCOMMUNITIES; (5) TO HELP THE CHINESE COMMUNITY IN NEED OF FINANCIAL AND SOCIALSERVICE SUPPORT; AND (6) TO ESTABLISH ENHANCE OURSELVES AS A COMMUNITY BASEDORGANIZATION WORKING TO INCREASE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, HEALTH EQUITY AND COMMUNITYPARTICIPATION WITHIN GREATER PORTLAND AND VANCOUVER WASHINGTON'S THE ASIANCOMMUNITIES; AND (7) TO PROVIDE CIVIC LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR YOUTH.
