VENTURE PORTLAND MEANS BUSINESS. THE ORGANIZATION INVESTS IN THE SMART, STRATEGIC GROWTH OF PORTLAND'S 50 UNIQUE NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICTS THROUGH GRANTS, TRAINING, AND PROMOTION. TOGETHER, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICTS CONTAIN 19,200 BUSINESSES AND PROVIDE 270,000 JOBS, PLAYING A VITAL ROLE IN PORTLAND'S ECONOMY. VENTURE PORTLAND BUILDS THE CAPACITY OF AND CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THESE DISTRICTS THAT COLLECTIVELY MEET LOCAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL DEMAND FOR GOODS AND SERVICES.

VENTURE PORTLAND MEANS BUSINESS. WE CELEBRATED 35 YEARS SUPPORTING PORTLAND'S UNIQUE NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICTS THROUGH GRANTS, TRAINING AND PROMOTION. WE PROVIDED 4,236 HOURS OF TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, FACILITATED WEEKLY BUSINESS DISTRICT MARKETING VIA SOCIAL MEDIA AND NEWSLETTERS AND DISTRIBUTED 91,000 IN GRANTS TO FUND BUSINESS DISTRICT PROJECTS. VENTURE PORTLAND'S DEDICATED BOARD AND CII VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED 5,800 VOLUNTEER HOURS TO HELP THE ORGANIZATION BUILD THE CAPACITY OF AND CONNECTIONS BETWEEN BUSINESS DISTRICTS. FINALLY, WE CONTINUED THE CATALYTIC INVESTMENT INITIATIVE PROVIDING TARGETED RESOURCES AND STAFFING SUPPORT TO 7 BUSINESS DISTRICTS CITY WIDE.
