UGIAF ADVOCATES FOR ANTI-POVERTY LEGISLATION AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LEVEL, SUPPORTS CANDIDATES THAT ARE WORKING TO CREATE AN INCOME FLOOR IN THE UNITED STATES, AND MOBILIZES AMERICANS TO JOIN THE FIGHT.

ADVOCATES FOR ANTI-POVERTY LEGISLATION: UGIAF HAS SUPPORTED PRO-POVERTY POLICIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND HAS OPPOSED EFFORTS TO PREEMPT LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FROM PURSUING GUARANTEED INCOME PILOTS AND/OR PROGRAMS. WE HAVE DONE THIS THROUGH SIGN-ON LETTERS, MEDIA RELATIONS CAMPAIGNS, MEETINGS WITH STAKEHOLDERS, AND RESEARCH PROJECTS.
SUPPORTS CANDIDATES: UGIAF HAS ASSISTED ELECTED OFFICIALS BY PROVIDING MESSAGING AND RESEARCH ON HOW TO USE THEIR ANTI-POVERTY WORK TO GAIN PUBLIC AND ELECTORAL SUPPORT.
