THE FRIENDS OF SHELDON JACKSON MUSEUM ("FRIENDS") OPERATE THE MUSEUM GIFT SHOP. THE NET PROCEEDS (SALE OF INVENTORY) FROM THE SALE OF ALASKAN ARTWORK ARE USED TO PURCHASE ARTIFACTS WHICH ARE DONATED TO THE ALASKA STATE OWNED SHELDON JACKSON MUSEUM. THE FRIENDS ALSO PROVIDE ARTIST DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM AT THE MUSEUM DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.
