TO PROVIDE COUNSELLING TO PATIENTS AND TO SERVE AS A METHADONE DISPENSING FACILITY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDES OUTPATIENT TREATMENT AND ATTENDANT SERVICES TO THOSE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE ABUSE OF DRUGS. THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE AGENCY'S SERVICE IS THE OPIATE ABUSER AND THEIR FAMILY. SERVICES ARE ALSO PROVIDED TO COCAINE AND OTHER POLYDRUG ABUSERS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TREATMENT SERVICES FOR THE OPIATE ABUSER THROUGH THE USE OF METHADONE MAINTENANCE, DETOXIFICATION, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING. THE EMPHASIS OF THE PROGRAM IS ON THE OVERALL HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF THE INDIVIDUAL THROUGH MEDICAL INTERVENTIONS WHEN NECESSARY, LIFE SKILLS TRAINING, FAMILY INVOLVEMENT AND HEALTH EDUCATION INCLUDING AIDS EDUCATION. PRE AND POST HIV TEST COUNSELING IS PROVIDED TO PATIENTS AND INJECTABLE DRUG USERS.
