OUR MISSION IS TO ENHANCE THE ECONOMIC PROSPERITY OF SAN JUAN COUNTY BY PROMOTING THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS AS A PREFERRED, YEAR-ROUND DESTINATION, WHILE RESPECTING AND SUSTAINING THE ISLANDS' UNIQUE AND DIVERSE ECOSYSTEMS, ENVIRONMENTS, LIFESTYLES, AND CULTURES.

YEAR-ROUND MARKETING AND MEDIA RELATIONS, PLUS SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS TARGETED TO THE SEATTLE/PUGET SOUND MARKET. THE SEASONAL CAMPAIGNS WERE A MIX OF MAGAZINE, RADIO, TV AND ONLINE ADVERTISING. VISITORS TO THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS ARE ESTIMATED TO BE BETWEEN 500,000 AND 1,000,000.
PROMOTING THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS THROUGH DISTRIBUTION OF TRAVEL GUIDES; TRAVEL INDUSTRY TRADE SHOWS; PUBLICATIONS; AND MAINTENANCE OF INTERNET WEBSITE COVERING THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS' MANY BUSINESSES AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.

BEGINNING AT THE WASHINGTON STATE FERRY TERMINAL AT ANACORTES, THE THREE SEGMENTS OF THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS SCENIC BYWAYS INCLUDE THE MARINE HIGHWAY TO AND BETWEEN THE SAN JUANS-THE HISTORIC CANOE ROUTE USED BY NATIVE AMERICANS; A DRIVING TOUR ON SAN JUAN ISLAND; AND A DRIVING TOUR ON ORCAS ISLAND, ALL CONNECTING MAJOR VISITOR DESTINATIONS WITH FORTY ART, NATURE, AND HISTORY STOPS ALONG THE WAY.
