THE VOLUNTARY PROTECTION PROGRAMS PARTICIPANTS' ASSOCIATION, INC. (VPPPA) IS THE LEADING ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO COOPERATIVE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS. THE VPPPA PROVIDES A NETWORK OF OVER 2,100 COMPANIES OF WORKSITES THAT ARE INVOLVED IN, OR IN THE PROCESS OF APPLYING TO, THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION'S VOLUNTARY PROTECTION PROGRAMS AND OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT ARE DEVELOPING OR IMPLEMENTING COOPERATIVE RECOGNITION PROGRAMS.

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE INTENDED FOR STUDENT PURSUING EITHER AN UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE DEGREE IN THE SAFETY, HEALTH, OR ENVIRONMENTAL FIELDS. A SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE REVIEWS ALL APPLICANTS QUALIFICATIONS AND DETERMINES THE SCHOLARHIP WINNERS.
