THE ASSOCIATION BECAME A DESIGNATED WASHINGTON STATE MAIN STREET COMMUNITY, WHICH ENABLES IT TO TAKE A LARGER ROLE IN REVITALIZING DOWNTOWN EVERETT THROUGH BUSINESS SUPPORT, PROMOTION AND EVENTS, DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS, ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS, AND TRANSPORTATION ADVOCACY.THE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA (BIA) WAS APPROVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL FOR AN ADDITIONAL 5 YEARS OF FUNDING.
