THE PRC PROVIDES LIMITED MEDICAL SERVICES INCLUDING PREGNANCY TESTING, LIMITED OBSTETRIC ULTRASOUNDS, AND SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTION (STI) TESTING AND TREATMENT TO INDIVIDUALS WITH PLANNED AND UNPLANNED PREGNANCIES. THE PRC PROVIDED 370 MEDICAL SERVICES DURING THE YEAR, FREE OF CHARGE.THE PRC PROVIDES GENERAL PROGRAM SERVICES, INCLUDING CONSULTATIONS ON PREGNANCY OPTIONS TO INDIVIDUALS WITH PLANNED AND UNPLANNED PREGNANCIES. 201 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED BENEFITS FROM THESE FREE SERVICES DURING THE YEAR.
THE PRC PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR WOMEN AND FAMILIES IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY. PREGNANT PATIENTS ARE OFFERED CHILDBIRTH, PARENTING AND MOM'S SUPPORT GROUP CLASSES, ALL FREE OF CHARGE. PARENTS MAY ATTEND PARENTING CLASSES UNTIL THEIR CHILD REACHES THE AGE OF 6. ADDITIONAL FREE MATERNAL RESOURCES ARE MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PRC BABY BOUTIQUE. 1,059 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED EDUCATION AND/OR BABY BOUTIQUE RESOURCES DURING THE YEAR.THE PRC PROVIDES FREE MOTIVATIONAL YOUTH PRESENTATIONS THAT APPROACH TOPICS SUCH AS: ALCOHOL, SEX, MENTAL HEALTH AND PEER PRESSURE THROUGH THE LENS OF SEXUAL INTEGRITY, SAFETY AND HEALTH. THE PRESENTATIONS ARE DIVERSE, INCLUSIVE AND ARE PRESENTED FROM A PLACE OF LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE THAT ENCOURAGES THOUGHTFUL CONVERSATIONS.
WOMEN BEING SEEN FOR PREGNANCY TESTING WERE OFFERED FREE STI TESTING FOR CHLAMYDIA, GONORRHEA AND TRICHOMONIASIS. IF A PATIENT TESTS POSITIVE, A PRESCRIPTION IS CALLED INTO A LOCAL PHARMACY. PATIENTS PURCHASE REQUIRED MEDICATIONS AT A REDUCED PRICE FROM A LOCAL PHARMACY. THEIR PARTNERS RECEIVE PERSCRIPTIONS FOR MEDICATIONS UNDER THE EXPEDITED PARTNER THERAPY PROGRAM OF WASHINGTON STATE. THIS TREATMENT CAN BE OFFERED WITHOUT REQUIRING PARTNERS TO BE TESTED OR SEEN BY HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS. 79 PATIENTS RECEIVED STI TESTING.
