CHILD DEVELOPMENT - OFFERING A FULL RANGE OF CULTURALLY-RESPONSIVE EARLY-CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, FROM EXPECTANT PARENTS TO THOSE WITH CHILDREN (BIRTH TO 5 YEARS OLD). SERVICES INCLUDE EARLY HEAD START AND PARENTCHILD+ HOME VISITING, AS WELL AS HEAD START PRESCHOOL, TO BUILD EARLY LITERACY AND SCHOOL READINESS. IN 2021, NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:- 75 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE SERVED IN EARLY HEAD START, 284 IN PARENTCHILD+, AND 306 IN HEAD START, FOR A TOTAL OF 665 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES- 752 DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY SCREENINGS WERE CONDUCTED- 752 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES


HOUSING STABILITY, FAMILY SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY HEALTH - PROVIDES SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN SEATTLE AND KING COUNTY. SERVICES INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, FINANCIAL COACHING, CITIZENSHIP CLASSES AND APPLICATION ASSISTANCE, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE SERVICES, HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND HOUSING STABILITY SERVICES, OUTREACH FOR SENIORS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES; LONG TERM MEDICAID, HEALTH HOME, AND MAC/TSOA CASE MANAGEMENT; FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT; AND COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES SUCH AS HIV/HEPATITIS TESTING AND COUNSELING, SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION, AND MENTAL HEALTH REFERRALS. IN 2021, NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE ACHIEVED THE FOLLOWING RESULTS: -2746 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES-1411 PEOPLE WERE ASSISTED THROUGH REFERRALS-154 ADULTS RECEIVED LITERACY/ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION-125 ADULTS ATTENDED CITIZENSHIP CLASSES-94 INDIVIDUALS WERE HELPED WITH HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLLMENT-90 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH APPLYING FOR SOCIAL SECURITY/SSI BENEFITS-110 PEOPLE WERE CONNECTED WITH SNAP BENEFITS-694 PEOPLE AVOIDED EVICTION THANKS TO TEMPORARY RENTAL ASSISTANCE-32 PEOPLE WERE PLACED IN PERMANENT HOUSING-352 HIV/STI SCREENING AND COUNSELING SESSIONS WERE CONDUCTED-315 MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENTS WERE COMPLETED-78 PARENTING CLASSES WERE HELD-197 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE


EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION, AND YOUTH ENGAGEMENT - PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION SERVICES FOR ADULTS AND PREPARES YOUTH FOR ACADEMIC AND CAREER SUCCESS. ADULTS ACCESS WRAP-AROUND CASE MANAGEMENT, JOB-SEARCH COACHING, JOB PLACEMENT AND RETENTION/ADVANCEMENT SUPPORT AND CAREER TRAINING SERVICES. YOUTH PROGRAMMING INCLUDES CASE MANAGEMENT, DRUG AND ALCOHOL PREVENTION PROGRAMS, VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND CAREER PATHWAYS FOR OUT-OF-SCHOOL JOB SEEKERS, AND ACADEMIC RE-ENGAGEMENT, SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS-BUILDING, TUTORING AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS. IN 2021, NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE ACHIEVED THE FOLLOWING RESULTS:-86 ADULTS OBTAINED EMPLOYMENT-39 "OPPORTUNITY YOUTH" OBTAINED EMPLOYMENT-78 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED VOCATIONAL TRAINING-59 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED RESUME DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE-209 YOUTH IN GRADES K-12 ENGAGED IN AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING-143 YOUTH IN GRADES K-12 ENGAGED IN SUMMER EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMMING-55 YOUNG PEOPLE RECEIVED MENTORING
