THE SOCIETY HAS PURCHASED A LOCAL BUILDING TO BE USED AS A MUSEUM. THE SOCIETY IS CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF RAISING FUNDS TO COMPLETE THE RENOVATION OF THE MUSEUM BUILDING. THE BUILDING IS NOW OPEN WITH A RECEPTION AREA AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY EVENTS AS RENOVATIONS CONTINUE. THE SOCIETY HAS REPLACED THE ROOF ON THE FRONT PART OF THE BUILDING, AND HAS ADDED INSULATION TO THE BACK BAY AREA. THE SOCIETY HAS ALSO PAINTED THE BACK BAY CEILING. DURING THE PAST YEAR THE SOCIETY HAS ALSO WORKED ON A BRICK AND CONCRETE SIDEWALK AT THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. THE BUILDING NOW HAS SIGNAGE AND DISPLAY CASES OF HISTORICAL ITEMS DONATED TO THE SOCIETY. THE SOCIETY CONTINUES TO ACCEPT DONATIONS OF ITEMS WITH HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE TO MCLOUD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. THE MUSEUM NOW IS OPEN AT SPECIFIED TIMES EACH WEEK AS WELL AS FOR ALL COMMUNITY EVENTS.
