INTERNATIONAL SERVICE- DONATIONS TO A PANAMA SOLAR PROJECT, EUROPE FOR DISTAR RELIEF AND THE ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION-PAUL HARRIS, POLIO PLUS AND WORLD COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS AND VOCATIONAL SERVICE PROGRAMS CAREER COACHING PROGRAM-LUNCH FOR STUDENTS FROM HIGH-RISK MIDDLE SCHOOL WHERE THEY SPEND A DAY WITH A ROTARIAN VISITING AT LEAST TWO LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT THE STUDENTS MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT. TEACHER RECOGNITION AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARDS, VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS, CONTRIBUTION TO PUBLIC TV STATION KNPB, AND OTHER COMMUNITY PROJECTS THAT INCLUDES THE START UP EXPENSES OF A SCULPTURE PARK DOWNTOWN RENO.
YOUTH SERVICE PROJECTS-TO PROVIDE MONEY FOR THE ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM WHICH SENDS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM RENO/SPARKS AREA TO A LEADERSHIP CAMP. THE FOUNDATION HOLDS A MUSIC CONTEST AND A SPEECH CONTEST TO RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING STUDENTS. SPONSOR A ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE TO PROVIDE FOREIGN EXCHANGE FOR INBOUND AND OUT- BOUND STUDENTS TO SPEND A YEAR ABROAD WITH OTHER ROTARY CLUBS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SPONSORED FOUR SCHOOLS FOR THE MIDDLE SCHOOL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM.
