HOUSING PROGRAM: AS A HUD APPROVED COMPREHENSIVE HOUSING COUNSELING AGENCY, THE FOLLOWING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED: REVERSE MORTGAGE COUNSELING; LOSS MITIGATION AND DEFAULT/DELIQUENCY COUNSELING; PRE AND POST PURCHASE EDUCATION; DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS INCLUDING IDA/WISH/JURISDICTIONAL SPECIFIC PROGRAMS
FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM: FINANCIAL LITERACY IS THE CORNERSTONE OF THE AGENCY AND GROUP FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES ARE PRESENTED BOTH AT THE AGENCY SITES AND AT THE SITES OF COMMUNITY PARTNERS THOUGHOUT THE STATES SERVED. CLASSES AND ALL COLLATERAL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. CLASSES INCLUDE 8 HOUR PRE PURCHASE FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASS, BUDGETING, CREDIT, CAR PURCHASE, APARTMENT LEASING, MINIMAL INCOME BUDGETING, SURVIVING LAYOFFS, AND A VARIETY OF OTHER TOPICS. FINANCIAL LITERACY IS ALSO PROVIDED ONE ON ONE DURING EACH INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING SESSION PROVIDED.
NEVADA 211: 2-1-1 IS A 24X7X365 CALL CENTER DESIGNED TO PROVIDE IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE TO NEVADANS IN NEED OF SOCIAL SERVICES OR OTHER RESOURCES. A COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE IS THE CORE OF THE SERVICE DELIVERY. THE NEVADA 2-1-1 PROGRAM RESPONDS TO AN AVERAGE OF MORE THAN 10,000 PHONE CALLS EACH MONTH.
