THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE MENTORING SERVICES TO BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS TO PROMOTE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

H.E.R SPACE IS THE ORGANIZATION'S MOST SIGNIFICANT PROGRAM. H.E.R. (HARMONIOUS, EMPOWERING, AND REAL) SPACE: OUR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES WEEKLY IN-PERSON SESSIONS TO ASSIST WITH HOMEWORK, BUILD SISTERHOOD, AND ENHANCED SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO OUR MENTEES. THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED AS A COHORT PROGRAM WITH SEMESTER LONG GROUPS FOR EACH COHORT.


OUR ANNUAL EVENT TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY AND ENGAGEMENT ACROSS DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS FOR BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS. THIS EVENT FOCUSES ON MENTAL HEALTH, IDENTITY, RELATIONSHIPS, SISTERHOOD, AND OVERALL LIFE READINESS.


SHE SUITE/BLACK GIRL EXPERIENCE IS A SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM. OUR ORGANIZATION PROVIDES HIGH SCHOOL-AGED GIRLS WITH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE THROUGH INTERNING AT LOCAL BUSINESSES THROUGHOUT DANE COUNTY. THE PARTICIPANTS ALSO LEARN SKILLS THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO THEM IN SECURING A JOB LATER IN LIFE, LIKE RESUME BUILDING AND CAREER ASSESSMENT.
