MAINTENANCE OF THE ONLINE PLATFORM (NOT YET PUBLIC) FOR ACCESS TO MEMBERS' PHOTO ARCHIVE COLLECTIONS, THE GOAL IS TO CREATE AN ONLINE RESOURCE, SEARCHABLE BY ALL, THAT HOUSES THE PHOTO ARCHIVE COLLECTIONS OF MEMBER INSTITUTIONS AND THE WORK ON THIS ONLINE PLATFORM BEGAN IN 2023. EXPENSES INCLUDE WEB SERVICES AND SERVER FEES, FEES TO CONTRACTORS FOR SITE MAINTENANCE, TROUBLESHOOTING, AND FEES TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE ASSOCIATION, WHO MANAGES AND OVERSEES ALL ACTIVITIES.
DEVELOPMENT OF MAJOR ASPECTS OF THE PHAROS DATABASE -- STRUCTURE AND PERFORMANCE. PROGRAMMING IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: DATA TRANSFORMATION, APPLICATION MANAGEMENT, FRONT-END DEVELOPMENT. THIS WORK WAS ACCOMPLISHED DUE TO A GRANT FROM THE MAX PLANCK INSTITUTE FOR ART HISTORY, ROME, ITALY, FOR 230,000 EUROS (ESTIMATED CONVERSION TO $248,917 BASED ON THE AVERAGE EXCHANGE RATE IN 2023 AS REPORTED AT HTTPS://WWW.IRS.GOV/INDIVIDUALS/INTERNATIONAL-TAXPAYERS/YEAR).
