THIS TECHNOLOGY WILL ALLOW DOCTORS TO PERFORM ROBOTIC ASSISTED MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY THAT ENHANCES CAPABILITIES BEYOND WHAT THE HUMAN BODY ALLOWS. THE DA VINCI BECOMES THEIR EYES AND HANDS ENABLING DOCTORS TO SEE INSIDE THE BODY.

PURPOSE: RESPITE CARE IS PLANNED, OR EMERGENCY TEMPORARY CARE PROVIDED TO CAREGIVERS OF A CHILD OR ADULT. RESPITE PROGRAMS PROVIDE PLANNED SHORT TERM AND TIME LIMITED BREAKS FOR FAMILIES AND OTHER UNPAID CAREGIVERS TO PATIENTS WITH ALS IN ORDER TO SUPPORT AND MAINTAIN THE PRIMARY CARE GIVING RELATIONSHIPS. RESPITE ALSO PROVIDES A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR THE PERSON RECEIVING CARE. THE TERM SHORT BREAK IS USED IN SOME COUNTRIES TO DESCRIBE RESPITE CARE.

PURPOSE: MRS. VACAS HUSBAND WAS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY. SHERIFF VACA WAS A 17-YEAR VETERAN OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY SHERRIFFS DEPARTMENT. HE LEFT BEHIND HIS WIFE AND TWO YOUNG DAUGHTERS. THIS GRANT HELPED MRS. VACA WITH BILLS AND MONEY TO HELP TAKE CARE OF HER FAMILY NOW THAT HER HUSBAND HAS PASSED AWAY.

PURPOSE: MRS. PEARSON AND HER HUSBAND ARE COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN AND OWN A LOCAL SEAFOOD MARKET, PEARSONS PORT IN NEWPORT BEACH. DUE TO AN OIL SPILL IN OCTOBER 2021 THE LOCAL WATERS WERE CLOSED FOR ALL FISHING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, AND THEIR BUSINESS WAS DOWN 90%. THE PEARSONS WERE IN DANGER OF LOSING THEIR LONG-TIME BUSINESS WHICH WOULD HAVE ALSO HAD A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY THAT HAS DEPENDED ON PEARSONS PORT FOR FOOD AND SUPPLIES FOR DECADES.

PACIFIC FISHERIES ENHANCEMENT FOUNDATION

PURPOSE: FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT OF THE PACFISH PENS IN NEWPORT HARBOR. THE WHITE SEA BASS ARE BROUGHT AS HATCHLINGS AND CARED FOR BY OUR VOLUNTEERS THROUGH THE SUMMER BEFORE BEING RELEASED IN THE FALL. THE WHITE SEA BASS HAS A CODED WIRE TAG WHICH HELPS INFORM ON WHITE SEABASS GROWTH, DIET, MIGRATING PATTERNS AND SURVIVAL RATE OF HATCHERY-REARED WHITE SEA BASS. FUNDS ARE USED FOR THE PACFISH SKIFF MAINTENANCE, FUEL, MAINTENANCE OF THE PACFISH PENS LOCATED IN THE HARBOR, AND FOOD FOR THE WHITE SEA BASS. THE PURPOSE OF THEIR PROGRAM IS TO REPLENISH WILD FISH POPULATIONS AND ENSURE OCEAN RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

MERCY HOME FOR BOYS & GIRLS

PURPOSE: SUPPORT WILL HELP SUSTAIN RECENT SPECIAL NEEDS PLANS SERVICE INNOVATIONS AND SERVICE LEVELS TO MEET THE DEMAND IN THE COMMUNITY AND ADVANCE THE COMMITMENT TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF OLDER SENIORS. SPECIFICALLY, GRANT FUNDS FROM THE HELPFUL FISH PRIVATE FOUNDATION WILL BE USED TO COVER SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAMS EXPENSES INCLUDING RAW FOOD, SUPPLIES, AND RELATED PERSONNEL EXPENSES NEEDED TO PREPARE AND DELIVER MEALS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
