BEING FORMED IN JUNE OF 2021, WE HIT THE GROUND RUNNING. OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE INVOLVES SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT THEREFORE OUR FIRST TASK WAS TO FIND A TEAM THAT WE COULD TRUST AND HIRE TO HANDLE THE TASK OF DEVELOPING THE MOBILE PHONE APPLICATION WHICH WILL SERVE AS THE PLATFORM THAT FAMILIES WILL BE USING TO FIND RESPITE CARE WORKERS, THERAPISTS, AND EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION. WE SUCCESSFULLY FOUND THIS TEAM AND HIRED THE APPSKETIERS A PROFESSIONAL APP DEVELOPMENT FIRM BASED IN THE METRO ATLANTA AREA. THE APPLICATION IS NOW READY FOR BETA-TESTING AND WILL BE OPERATIONAL AND IN BOTH THE APPLE APP AND GOOGLE PLAY STORE IN THE FALL OF 2022. OUR SECOND TASK WAS TO ESTABLISH OUR ONLINE PRESENCE BY CREATING A WEBSITE, WHICH WILL BE NECESSARY FOR ADDING VALIDITY TO OUR ORGANIZATION INCREASING PUBLIC FAITH IN US, AS WELL AS MAKING US ELIGIBLE FOR MORE GRANT OPPORTUNITIES. WE CONTRACTED THE TASK OF BUILDING AND DEVELOPING OUR WEBSITE TO KITELY TECH, A US BASED ORGANIZATION. WE HAVE SINCE USED THE WEBSITE TO CREATE A NEWSLETTER MAILING LIST WHICH HAS ALLOWED US TO SEND EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL TO THE FAMILIES WHO HAVE SUBSCRIBED. THIRD, WITH USING THE TIME ON HAND TO MAKE SURE WHEN WE LAUNCH OUR MOBILE PHONE APPLICATION IT HAS THE BIGGEST IMPACT AS POSSIBLE. THEREFORE WE BEGAN FORMING RELATIONSHIPS WITH VARIOUS PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEMS IN THE METRO-DETROIT AREA ALLOWING US TO USE A GRASS ROOTS FORM OF ADVERTISING AND ADD TO OUR VALIDITY, PARENTS ARE MORE LIKELY TO USE OUR FREE SERVICES IF THEIR CHILD'S SCHOOL SPONSORS/ENDORSE US. ....WE NOW HAVE PAID THE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS TO DEVELOP OUR PHONE APP WHICH WILL BE RELEASED IN SUMMER OF 2023. IN JANUARY OF 2023 WE HAVE TAKEN OVER THE WORK AND PLAY CAFE SERVING AS THE ONLY SPECIAL NEEDS RESOURCE CENTER IN WASHTENAW COUNTY.
