THE SALT LAKE ART CENTER DBA UTAH MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ARTS IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION ORGANIZED TO FOSTER THE DEVELOPMENT OF UTAH AND REGIONAL CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ART, TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC TO AN APPRECIATION OF CONTEMPOARY VISUAL ART AND TO BRING TOGETHER ARTISTS AND NON-ARTISTS INTO A WORKING ORGANIZATION, TO PRESENT THE WORK OF UTAH, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS TO THE PUBLIC BY MEANS OF EXHIBITIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES, TO PROMOTE AND INCREASE PUBLIC INTEREST IN CONTEMPORARY VISUTAL ART AND TO EDUCATE AND STIMULATE THE COMMUNITY IN SUCH MATTERS.
