IBS IS AN INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF STATISTICAL AND MATHEMATICAL THEORY AND METHODS IN THE BIOSCIENCES, INCLUDING AGRICULTURE, BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE AND PUBLIC HEALTH, ECOLOGY, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, FORESTRY, AND ALLIED DISCIPLINES.

PUBLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS, INCLUDING "BIOMETRICS AND "JABES" DEVOTED TO STATISTICAL ASPECTS OF BIOSCIENCES. THE PUBLICATIONS ARE SENT TO MEMBERS AND LIBRARIES WORLDWIDE AND ARE ALSO AVAILABLE THROUGH ONLINE DATABASES.


ASSIST WITH REGIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS AND PROVIDE VARIOUS SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDE A WEBSITE TO FURTHER THE FIELD OF BIOMETRICS AND MISC PROGRAMS


INTERNATIONAL BIOMETRIC CONFERENCE IS A BIENNIAL CONFERENCE HELD IN SITES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, BRINGING TOGETHER STATISTICIANS AND OTHERS INTERESTED IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF STATISTICAL AND MATHEMATICAL THEORY AND METHODS TO THE BIOSCIENCES. EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES AND SHORT COURSES AFFORD MEMBERS & OTHERS OPPORTUNITIES TO PRESENT PAPERS AND TO EXCHANGE IDEAS THROUGH FORMAL PRESENTATIONS AND INFORMAL CONTACTS WITH FELLOW BIOMETRICIANS AND OTHER SCIENTISTS.
