AOI AWARDS PROGRAM: THE ORGANIZATION RUNS AN ANNUAL AWARDS PROGRAM IN WHICH ANY PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT YOUTH AGING OUT OF FOSTER CARE THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY CAN SUBMIT AN APPLICATION THAT DESCRIBES TEIR PROGRAMS STRATEGIES. JUDGES THAT WORK WITH YOUTH AGING OUT OF CARE THEN REVIEW AND SCORE THE APPLICATIONS AND SELECT THE WINNERS, WHO ARE RECOGNIZED ON THE AOI WEBSITE THROUGH PRESS RELEASES AND ON PODCASTS. IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION DISTRIBUTED A TOTAL OF $460,500 TO XX DIFFERENT NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT YOUTH AGING OUT OF FOSTER CARE.
