TO PROMOTE, SUPPORT, AND FACILITATE MERITORIOUS BIOMEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICES RESEARCH AND EDUCATION ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY INVESTIGATORS AT THE PHOENIX VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM THAT CONTRIBUTE TO IMPROVE HEALTHCARE FOR VETERANS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

RESEARCHERS ARE WORKING TO DETERMINE THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE APOLIPOPROTEIN (APO) C PROTEOFORMS AND PATTERNS OF DYSLIPIDEMIA, ATHEROSCLEROSIS, AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE (CVD) RISK. THIS IS THE FIRST LARGE STUDY EVALUATING FORMS OF APOC-I, APOC-II AND APOC-III AND CVD RISK. THIS GRANT IS A SUBAWARD FROM ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY WITH THE PRIME AWARD BEING GRANTED BY THE NIH


MECHANISTIC ROLE OF VASCULAR DYSFUNCTION IN TBI-MEDIATED COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTION AND A HUMAN VASCULAR MODEL TO STUDY ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE
