TO PROMOTE, SUPPORT, AND FACILITATE MERITORIOUS BIOMEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICES RESEARCH AND EDUCATION ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY INVESTIGATORS AT THE PHOENIX VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM THAT CONTRIBUTE TO IMPROVE HEALTHCARE FOR VETERANS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

RESEARCHERS ARE WORKING TO DETERMINE THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE APOLIPOPROTEIN (APO) C PROTEOFORMS AND PATTERNS OF DYSLIPIDEMIA, ATHEROSCLEROSIS, AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE (CVD) RISK. THIS IS THE FIRST LARGE STUDY EVALUATING FORMS OF APOC-I, APOC-II AND APOC-III AND CVD RISK. THIS GRANT IS A SUBAWARD FROM ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY WITH THE PRIME AWARD BEING GRANTED BY THE NIH
MECHANISTIC ROLE OF VASCULAR DYSFUNCTION IN TBI-MEDIATED COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTION AND A HUMAN VASCULAR MODEL TO STUDY ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE
THE ALL OF US RESEARCH PROGRAM IS INVITING ONE MILLION PEOPLE ACROSS THE U.S. TO HELP BUILD ONE OF THE MOST DIVERSE HEALTH DATABASES IN HISTORY. WE WELCOME PARTICIPANTS FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS. RESEARCHERS WILL USE THE DATA TO LEARN HOW OUR BIOLOGY, LIFESTYLE, AND ENVIRONMENT AFFECT HEALTH. THIS MAY ONE DAY HELP THEM FIND WAYS TO TREAT AND PREVENT DISEASE.
