LINKAGES WORKS WITH OVER 285 BUSINESSES THROUGHOUT ARIZONA WHO THEY HELP CONNECT TO JOB SEEKERS WITH DISABILITIES AND WOUNDED WARRIORS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT. THIS IS DONE BY LINKING THE EMPLOYERS TO OUR OVER 180 AGENCY PARTNERS, OUR JOB BOARD, AND EVENTS THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN ARIZONA WHO HELP INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND VETERANS GAIN EMPLOYMENT. THE TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT RANGES FROM ENTRY LEVEL JOBS WHERE LITTLE TO NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO MORE ADVANCED POSITIONS THAT REQUIRE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/EDUCATION. 600 INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES GAINED EMPLOYMENT WITH LINKAGES' BUSINESS PARTNERS. THAT IS 26% OF THE TOTAL PLACEMENTS MADE BY OUR AGENCY PARTNERS. OUR EFFORTS IN CONNECTING JOBSEEKERS WITH DISABILITIES TO EMPLOYERS INCLUDED CO-HOSTING 8 JOB FAIRS WITH OVER 3,270 JOBSEEKERS AND 294 EMPLOYERS ATTENDING THE FAIRS. TO HELP THE AGENCY SERVICE PROVIDERS BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT EMPLOYERS ARE LOOKING FOR, WE HOSTED 8 EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST MEETINGS IN PIMA COUNTY. THESE MEETINGS ENABLE THE PROVIDERS TO NETWORK WITH ONE ANOTHER AND HEAR DIRECTLY FROM AN EMPLOYER OR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPEAKER. WE ALSO CO-HOSTED 12 WORKSHOPS THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN ARIZONA ON RESUMES, JOB SEARCH, JOB APPLICATION, INTERVIEW SKILLS, AND 2ND CHANCE. AS A WAY TO ADVOCATE AND CELEBRATE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN THE WORKFORCE, WE HOSTED OUR 11TH ANNUAL BUILDING BRIDGES AWARDS LUNCHEON IN PIMA COUNTY, WHICH HAD OVER 240 GUESTS ATTEND.
