COLLABORATING WITH OUR FELLOW SOCIETIES IN THE WESTERN REGION TO FEATURE A CONVERSATION WITH FORMER FEDERAL RESERVE CHAIRMAN BEN BERNANKE HOSTED BY BUSINESS NEWS REPORTER JANE WELLS. WE ORGANIZED AND HOSTED THE 12TH ANNUAL DESERT CLASSIC INVESTMENT RESEARCH CHALLENGE. WE HAD 7 UNIVERSITIES COMPETING ACROSS 3 STATES. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA - LAS VEGAS TEAM FOR ADVANCING TO THE REGIONAL COMPETITION THIS YEAR. HOSTING A MIX OF LIVE AND VIRTUAL NETWORKING EVENTS AS CONDITIONS ALLOWED, INCLUDING A WINE TASTING, OUR ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT, AND SPRING TRAINING GAME. LEADING A SERIES OF SEVEN EXCLUSIVE FIRESIDE CHATS WITH RENOWNED INDUSTRY EXPERTS LIKE DAVID KELLEY JP MORGAN, TONY CRESCENZI PIMCO AND KRISTINA HOOPER INVESCO, TO NAME A FEW. WE ALSO PROVIDED A 1500 SCHOLARSHIP TO ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY TO ASSIST A STUDENT IN OBTAINING THEIR BACHELOR DEGREE. OUR MEMBERSHIP ALSO HELD STEADY AT 463 MEMBERS.
