ANNUAL CONVENTION HELD OVER 3 DAYS AND ATTENDED BY NEARLY 400 ATTENDEES. THE CONVENTION CONDUCTS PROGRAMS ABOUT NEW AND EXISTING TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE FOR PERSONS WITH SPEECH AND HEARING DISABILITITES. THE CONVENTION AND WORKSHOPS PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS AND AUDIOLOGISTS TO GAIN CONTINUING EDUCATION. SECTION 513(A)(1) EXCLUDES FROM THE DEFINITION OF "UNRELATED TRADE OR BUSINESS" THOSE ACTIVITIES IN WHICH SUBSTANTIALLY ALL THE WORK IN CARRYING OUT THE TRADE OR BUSINESS IS PERFORMED WITHOUT COMPENSATION I.E. BY VOLUNTEERS. FOR THIS FISCAL YEAR, THE VOLUNTEER WEBMASTER PERFORMED SUBSTANTIALLY ALL THE WORK RELATED TO THE ONLINE POSTINGS OF ADVERTISMENTS AND JOB POSTINGS.
