IN 2022, THE ORGANIZATION COMMISSIONED AN ART SCULPTURE. THE PURPOSE OF THE PIECE WAS TO CREATE AND CAPTURE AWARENESS OF COVID-19. WORK CONTINUED DURING 2023 AND THE PIECE WAS DONATED TO INOVA SCHAR CANCER INSTITUTE ONCE COMPLETED. THE PIECE WAS DISPLAYED AT VAROUS QUILT SHOWS TO CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON ART AS A MEANS OF HEALING FROM HURT AND TRAUMA. ART OF THE MATTER ALSO CONTINUED THE HOPE QUILT PROJECT DURING 2023 WHICH DISPLAYED THE COVID HOPE QUILT AND CREATION OF THE HOPE LETTERS AT VARIOUS ART AND QUILT SHOWS. ADDITIONALLY, ART OF THE MATTER WORKED WITH MOBILE HOPE ON OUTREACH AND USING ART AS HEALING FOR TRAUMA AFFECTED TEENS AND HOMELESS TEENS.
