2022 WAS A YEAR OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT FOR THE NONPROFIT, CENTERED ON OUR CHESTNUT PLANTING PROJECT. WE BUILT A 900-SQUARE-FOOT TREE NURSERY WHERE WE GREW 10,000 CHESTNUT TREES AND DISTRIBUTED THEM WITHIN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE EAST MULTNOMAH SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT, WE PLANTED 2000 TREES AND DISTRIBUTED 1500 OF THEM WITHIN EAST MULTNOMAH COUNTY. EDUCATION PROGRAMS WERE CONDUCTED ONLINE THROUGH VIDEO STREAMING AND SOCIAL NETWORKING PLATFORMS. THIS INCLUDED PROJECT DOCUMENTATION, INSTRUCTION, ANSWERING QUESTIONS, AND THE CREATION OF EDUCATIONAL AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL. WE MAINTAINED AN ONLINE FORUM OF OVER 900 PEOPLE FROM 90 CITIES WORLDWIDE. WE ALSO CONTINUED OUR MARKETING AND OUTREACH AND MAINTAINED OUR FUNDING THROUGH DONATIONS.
