PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH A COLLECTION OF BLACK AFFIRMING LITERATURE. IN ADDITION TO SUBSCRIPTIONS, THE BOTTOM HOSTED AUTHOR TALKS, STORY TIME EVENTS HELD BY LOCAL ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS. THIS YEAR, THE BOTTOM WAS ALSO ABLE TO CULTIVATE RELATIONSHIPS WITH SCHOOLS, HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, BUSINESSES AND PUBLISHERS.
THE BOTTOM PARTNERED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE TO OFFER A COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP. THIS YEAR THE FELLOWING WORKED TO DEVELOP THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF THE BOTTOM THROUGH DISCUSSIONS WITH FORMER RESIDENTS.
THROUGH THE SEW IT SELL IT PROGRAM STUDENTS DEVELOP PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS SKILLS. IN 2022 9 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED. PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A SEWING PM
