ORGANIZING EMPOWERMENT ACTION (OEA) IS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND GRANTS TO OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT UTILIZE ORGANIZING EMPOWERMENT'S RELATIONAL ORGANIZING (RO) PROGRAM TO INCREASE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND BUILD ELECTORAL POWER IN COMMUNITIES HOME TO LOW-PROPENSITY VOTERS. THIS TRANSLATES TO LEGISLATION/POLICY THAT IMPROVES QUALITY OF LIFE. TO FULFILL THESE OBJECTIVES OEA PLANS TO PROVIDE:1) TRAINING TO VOLUNTEERS ON EFFECTIVE RO TACTICS THAT ALLOW THEM TO BETTER COMMUNICATE WITH, APPROPRIATELY ENGAGE AND BUILD LASTING RELATIONSHIPS WITH INDIVIDUALS IN THEIR SOCIAL NETWORKS AND COMMUNITIES, AND ELEVATES THEIR VOICES TO MORE EFFECTIVELY ADVOCATE FOR LEGISLATIVE SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS SOCIAL CHALLENGES 2) PROVIDE GRANTS TO NONPROFITS TO SUPPORT THE HIRING OF A STAFF MEMBER OR MEMBERS TO MANAGE AND IMPLEMENT RO PROGRAMS.
