#2ND CHANCE PROJECT'S MISSION AND VISION IS TO PROVIDE SHELTER AND HYGIENCE NECESSITIES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS.

DURING THE GUN VIOLENCE AWARENESS COMMUNITY EVENTS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY DIRECTLY, OR INDIRECTLY HAVE BEEN TRAGICALLY AFFECTED BY SENSELESS ACTS OF VIOLENCE, PREDOMINATELY, GUN VIOLENCE, COME TOGETHER, TALK, BRAINSTORM AND FORM A BOND IN WHICH THEY CAN RELATE TO. HELPING EACH OTHER COPE AND FIND WAYS TO MAKE CHANGES. IN DIRE NEED AND HOPE TO INSTILL THOSE CHANGES IN THE COMMUNITY DECEMBER 7TH 2022, 2ND CHANCE PROJECT HOSTED A STOP THE VIOLENCE COMMUNITY EVENT AT THE BROOKLYN CENTER COMMUNITY CENTER, WHERE SPEAKER KG WILSON WAS IN ATTENDANCE WITH MUSIC, FOODS AND ENTERTAINMENT.


IN 2022, 2ND CHANCE PROJECT HELD THE MASTER LEASE FOR THE FREEMONT LOCATION, WHICH WAS ABLE TO HOUSE 3 CLIENTS, POTENTIALLY FACING HOMELESSNESS, IN RECOVERY OR SUFFERED FROM MENTAL ILLNESS. STATE OPIOID RESPONSE -SOR PROGRAM, PROVIDED TEMPORARY HOUSING AND SHELTER, BASIC NECESSITIES AND FOODS TO MANY INDIVIDUAL USING VARIOUS HOTELS THROUGH OUT THE CITIES. S.O.R, WAS ABOUT TO MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT FOR 6 INDIVIDUALS AS WELL AS MANY CERTIFIED PEER RECOVERY SPECIALISTS. NOT ONLY DID 2022 PROVIDE THE FUNDS TO SET THE BAR FOR COMMUNITY AWARDS THAT LATER CAME IN 2023, S.O.R ALSO ALLOWED FUNDING FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING, FROM 1 HOUSING LOCATION TO 5.


2ND CHANCE PROJECT PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENT FOR EMPLOYEE'S TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE MISSION AND VISION OF THE ORGANZATION. WE ALSO PROVIDE HOUSING STABILITY AND ALL OTHER RELATED NECESSITIES TO THE HOMELESS WHO ARE IN NEED OF FOODS, HYGIENCE SUPPLIES AND SHELTERS.
