TO BRING PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT CULTURES TOGETHER TO USE MUSIC TO CHANGE THE WORLD BY: FUNDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND LIVE PERFORMANCES FOR PROMISING YOUNG PEOPLE FROM THE UNITED STATES AND INTERNATIONALLY, WHO MAY NOT OTHERWISE HAVE ACCESS, ESPECIALLY YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR; FUNDING CHOIRS AND ORCHESTRAS FROM AROUND THE WORLD ESPECIALLY FROM UNDERREPRESENTED CULTURES AND FINANCIALLY DEPRIVED INDIVIDUALS WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN FESTIVALS, CONCERTS AND WORKSHOPS; FUNDING CULTURAL DIPLOMACY PROGRAMS FOR ORCHESTRAS AND CHOIRS AS THEY TRAVEL THE WORLD; CREATING A SERIES OF SAFE, LIVE PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES DURING CHALLENGING TIMES, SUCH AS COVID-19, ENGAGING A DIVERSE ROSTER OF PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS ACROSS A WIDE RANGE OF GENRES.

SUPPORTED A SERIES OF CONCERTS IN THE SECRET GARDEN IN ALEXANDRIA. FREE AND DISCOUNTED TICKETS TO VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES, FOSTER CHILDREN, FIRST RESPONDERS, AND OTHERS FOR WHOM LIVE MUSIC WOULD OTHERWISE BE INACCESSIBLE.


SUPPORTED STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN PRAGUE SUMMER NIGHTS: YOUNG ARTISTS MUSIC FESTIVAL (PSN), WHICH AFFORDS ASPIRING YOUNG PROFESSIONALS IN THE WORLD OF OPERA AND ORCHESTRA THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM IN SOME OF EUROPE'S MOST IMPORTANT CITIES. THE 30-DAY FESTIVAL FEATURES UP TO 15 PERFORMANCES, COACHINGS, MASTERCLASSES, LESSONS, AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS PARTICIPANTS.


SPONSORED YOUNG ARTIST PARTICIPATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL ALEXANDRIA RESIDENCY OF THE PRAGUE SUMMER NIGHTS OPERA & ORCHESTRA FESTIVAL AND PROGRAM, OFFERING 15 ASPIRING OPERA SINGERS, COACHES, CONDUCTORS AND INSTRUMENTALISTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AND STUDY WITH WELL-REGARDED FACULTY AND GUEST INSTRUCTORS FROM THE WASHINGTON NATIONAL OPERA AND CASTLETON FESTIVAL, CULMINATING IN PERFORMANCES OF THE MAGIC FLUTE.
