THE NEW MEXICO ASSOCIATION OF GRANTMAKERS IS A REGIONAL MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION WITH A MISSION TO CONNECT, STRENGTHEN, AND ADVOCATE FOR NEW MEXICO'S SOCIAL IMPACT ORGANIZATIONS WHILE UNLEASHING THE FULL POTENTIAL OF WORKING TOGETHER. LONG-TERM POSITIVE IMPACT IN NEW MEXICO REQUIRES A NETWORKED APPROACH THAT INCLUDES NONPROFITS AND BUSINESSES TO FOUNDATIONS AND GOVERNMENT. AS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION, THE NEW MEXICO ASSOCIATION OF GRANTMAKERS FOSTERS THIS APPROACH BY PROMOTING SECTOR LEVEL CONNECTIONS, COLLABORATION, RESOURCE SHARING.

THE NEW MEXICO ASSOCIATION OF GRANTMAKERS OFFERS SERVICES THAT INCLUDE RESEARCH, EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS' MEMBERS THAT INCLUDE REPRESENTATIVES FROM A CROSS-SECTION OF PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS, PUBLIC CHARITIES, GOVERNMENTAL FUNDERS, PHILANTHROPY, NONPROFIT AND PRIVATE SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS SERVING THE PEOPLE IN THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES THE CENTER FOR NONPROFIT EXCELLENCE THAT SERVES AS A CENTRAL RESOURCE TO BUILD NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND CAPACITY IN THE STATE.


NEW MEXICO ASSOCIATION OF GRANTMAKERS ADVANCES THE SOCIAL SECTOR BY UNITING GRANT-MAKERS, SOCIAL INVESTORS, AND NONPROFIT SERVICE-PROVIDERS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGHOUT THE STATE. PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AIM TO BUILD THE CAPACITY, EFFECTIVENESS, AND IMPACT OF THE SECTOR THROUGH 1) INCREASING INVESTMENTS 2) IMPROVING SYSTEMS AND POLICIES, 3) FACILITATING NETWORKING, EDUCATION AND LEARNING, 4) PROMOTING COLLABORATION AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS.
