IS A NEW MEXICO NONPROFIT CORPORATION ESTABLISHED TO REDUCE THE IMPAIRED DRIVING FATALITIES AND INJURIES AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS IN HELPING THEM ASSERT THEIR RIGHTS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. PROVIDED LEGAL ADVOCACY AND RELATED ASSISTANCE TO 140 VICTIMS/SURVIVORS OF VIOLENT CRIME, INCLUDING DWI VICTIMS. THE PROJECT TRAINED 5 ATTORNEYS IN VICTIMS; RIGHTS AND RECRUITED 2 ATTORNEYS TO HELP WITH PRO BONO LEGAL WORK RELATED TO ASSERTING VICTIMS' RIGHTS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. THE DWI RESOURCE CENTER PROVIDED TRAININGS TO OVER 125 BUSINESSES ON DRUG FREE WORKPLACE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, INCLUDING HOW TO IMPLEMENT, AND EVALUATE POLICY CHANGES WITHIN THEIR WORKFORCE.
