TO HELP MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE STANDARDS IN ATHLETICS AND IN THE COACHING PROFESSION AND TO WORK FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CONDITIONS IN NEW MEXICO HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

A. THE NMHSCA PROVIDED A POSITIVE IMPACT ON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT-ATHLETES AND HIGH SCHOOL COACHES RESIDING ACROSS NEW MEXICO BY SELECTING AND RECOGNIZING ALL-STAR ATHLETES, ALL-STATE ATHLETES, AND AWARD-WINNING COACHES. IN ADDITION, THE NMHSCA IMPROVED THE QUALITY OF HIGH SCHOOL COACHING IN NEW MEXICO THROUGH MULTIPLE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. B. THE NMHSCA SELECTED 440 ALL-STAR ATHLETES PLAYING ALL-STAR GAMES IN CROSS COUNTRY, FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, BOYS- AND GIRLS' BASKETBALL, SOFTBALL, AND BASEBALL. THE NMHSCA SELECTED AND PUBLISHED OVER 740 ALL-STATE ATHLETES OUT OF 1902 NOMINATIONS. THE NMHSCA SELECTED OVER 100 AWARD WINNING COACHES ON BOTH THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL. THE NMHSCA HOSTED THREE COACHING CLINICS PROVIDING TRAINING FOR OVER 2000 COACHES. C. 1000S OF HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES AND COACHES WERE SERVED BECAUSE OF THE NMHSCA NON-PROFIT WORK AND THE NMHSCA WAS ALSO RELEVANT IN ADVOCATING FOR STUDENTS AND COACHES VIA OPPORTUNITIES TO REPRESENT THEM ON THE NMAA COMMISSION, AT NMAA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS AS WELL NATIONAL REPRESENTATION AT NOCAD, NHSACA, NHSBCA, NFHS, AND OTHERS. D. THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE RELEVANT TO THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF INTERSCHOLASTIC COMPETITION IN NEW MEXICO AND TO IMPROVE THE INTERSCHOLASTIC EXPERIENCE. E. THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE FOR THE REPORTED YEAR. SCHOOL YEARS ARE BASED ON A DIFFERENT CALENDAR THAN THE NMHSCA TAX YEAR, BUT THE NUMBERS WERE DIVIDED OUT TO ENSURE TIMELINESS FOR TAX PURPOSES.
