HELP-NEW MEXICO, INC.'S PURPOSE IS TO RAISE THE ECONOMIC LEVELS OF UNDERPRIVILEGED, LOW INCOME RESIDENTS AND FARM WORKERS IN THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO BY FACILITATING EDUCATIONAL AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES.

OFFICE OF LEARNING AND ACADEMIC:THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES (EDUCATION, HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH, DISABILITY, NUTRITION AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES) TO CHILDREN FROM 3 TO 5 YEARS OF AGE. HELP-NEW MEXICO, INC. CURRENTLY OFFERS REGIONAL HEAD START SERVICES IN ANIMAS, ALAMOGORDO, CHAPARRAL, COLUMBUS, DEMING, LA LUZ, LORDSBURG, T OR C AND TULAROSA, NEW MEXICO. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HAS EARLY HEAD START. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES PRENATAL SERVICES TO MOTHERS AND SERVICES TO CHILDREN AGED NEWBORN TO 3 YEARS.


OFFICE OF ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT (OEE):THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION'S CONTRACTS PROVIDE FOR JOB TRAINING, JOB PLACEMENTS, EDUCATION, SUPPORTIVE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES, AND GENERAL SUPPORT IN THE PURCHASE OF PERSONAL ASSETS TO UNEMPLOYED AND UNDEREMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS, YOUTH, SENIORS, THE HOMELESS AND MIGRANT AND SEASONAL FARM WORKERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO. THE WORK READINESS PROGRAMS, ALONG WITH THE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES WE PROVIDE, HAVE THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF HELPING LOW INCOME NEW MEXICANS ACHIEVE A HIGHER LEVEL OF SELF SUFFICIENCY AND AID IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TRAINED AND SKILLED WORKFORCE.
