PANCONE PROVIDED A RESEARCH GRANT OF $25,000 TO PANCREATIC CANCER CANADA IN SUPPORT OF THE PASS-01 CLINICAL TRIAL. THIS TRIAL BRINGS TOGETHER LEADING CANCER RESEARCH CENTRES ACROSS NORTH AMERICA TO ADVANCE PERSONALIZED MEDICINE FOR PANCREATIC CANCER PATIENTS. USING THE PATIENT'S TUMOR CELLS, AN ORGANOID (A.K.A. A TUMOR "AVATAR") IS CREATED THAT RESEARCHERS WILL TEST 100+ NOVEL DRUG THERAPIES ON IN A LAB SETTING TO DETERMINE WHICH TREATMENT WILL GIVE THE PATIENT THE GREATEST CHANCE AT A LONGER LIFE.
