WORKS WITH HOMEWOOD AT FREDERICK TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT, OPPORTUNITIES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE INDEPENDENT LIVING RESIDENTS AT HOMEWOOD AT FREDERICK THAT PROMOTES AND FURTHERS THEIR GENERAL WELFARE.

APPRECIATION AWARD PROGRAM - PROGRAM SOLICITS CONTRIBUTIONS FROM RESIDENTS AND FAMILY OF RESIDENTS WHICH TOGETHER WITH FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL BUDGET ARE USED BY THE CORPORATION IN MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING THE ABILITY OF HOMEWOOD STAFF TO SUPPORT THE RESIDENTS THROUGH VARIOUS TYPES OF RECOGNITION (E.G. EMPLOYEE SCHOLARSHIPS, SPECIAL EVENTS AND GIFTS). INCREASES EFFECTIVENESS OF RELIEF FOR THE ELDERLY RESIDENTS BY DEMONSTRATING THAT THE RESIDENTS VALUE THE STAFF OF HOMEWOOD AND SEEK TO HAVE HOMEWOOD RETAIN THEM WHICH WILL BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS WITH CONTINUED QUALITY CARE.


ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS COMMITTEE - SUPPORTS THE EFFORTS OF RESIDENTS IN IMPROVING THE LOOKS OF THE BIO-PONDS BY SUBSIDIZING THEIR PURCHASE OF PLANTS AND SUPPLIES. THE COMMITTEE ALSO PROVIDES A SMALL HONORARIUM TO SPEAKERS AT COMMITTEE MEETINGS TO UPDATE THE COMMITTEE ON CURRENT POTENTIAL ISSUES REGARDING THE ENVIRONMENT.NOTABLES - A HOMEWOOD SINGING GROUP THAT IS SUPPORTED BY THE GENERAL FUND.


LIBRARIES ON CAMPUS - BOOKS AND MEDIA ARE PURCHASED OR DONATED FOR USE BY THE RESIDENTS. PROVIDES RESIDENTS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND STIMULATE THEMSELVES INTELLECTUALLY BY PROVIDING READING AND OTHER MEDIA MATERIALS AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH THEIR NEIGHBORS OVER WHAT THEY READ.


WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA - THE WRRA RECEIVED $6,206 IN 2022, MADE A DONATION COSTING $300 AND INCURRED $5,679 IN ADDITIONAL EXPENSES IN 2022 ON A CASH BASIS. THE WRRA EXPECTS TO RECEIVE ADDITIONAL REVENUE IN 2023 BASED ON ITS INVOLVEMENT WITH WAAA IN 2022 AND EXPECTS SOME ADDITIONAL EXPENSES. THE WRRA EXPECTS TO AWARD HOMEWOOD AT FREDERICK APPROXIMATELY $5,000 TO BE USED FOR EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES TO THE HEALTH CARE SECTION OF THE HOMEWOOD AT FREDERICK CAMPUS.
