RISE & SHINE AGENCY IS A NON-PROFIT AGENCY THAT PROVIDES QUALITY PERSON-CENTERED CARE, MEETING GOALS, AND HAVING FUN WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO EXPERIENCES DISABILITIES.

OUR PROGRAM SUPPORTED INDIVIDUALS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES ACCESS TO THE COMMUNITY DURING COVID. THESE INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED DIFFERENT WAYS TO LEARN SAFE PRACTICES SUCH AS SOCIAL DISTANCING, MASK WEARING, COVID PROTOCOLS, ETC BY TRAINED CAREGIVERS WORKING WITH DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS. OUR PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDED ACCESS AND INTEGRATION INTO THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDED HEALTH AND SOCIAL EDUCTION. ONE OF OUR CLIENTS HAD TYPE-2 DIABETES AND RARELY ACCESSED THE COMMUNITY. WITH OUR SUPPORT, SHE WAS ABLE TO BECOME HEALTHIER AND IS NO LONGER ON INSULIN. SHE HAS AN ONGOING SCHEDULE WHICH HELPS HER STAY ACTIVE AND HEALTHY IN THE COMMUNITY.
