TO ASSIST VICTIMS AFFECTED BY THIS TRAGIC OCCURRENCE THEY ARE PROVIDED A 24-HOURS-A-DAY/7-DAYS-A-WEEK GPS-BASED PROXIMITY MONITORING AND AN ALERT AND NOTIFICATION SYSTEM AIMED AT REDUCING INTERACTION BETWEEN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS AND PERPETRATORS. GPS BRACELETS FOR MONITORING ARE PROVIDED TO THE PERPETRATORS AND A GPS TRACKING TOOL AND/OR A CELL PHONE WITH THE TRACKING APPLICATION IS PROVIDED TO EACH VICTIM. THE PROVIDER, USING 24/7 LIVE MONITORING, SENDS ELECTRONIC ALERTS AND NOTIFICATIONS DIRECTLY TO VICTIMS' CELL PHONES IF A PERPETRATOR COMES WITHIN A COURT-ORDERED SPECIFIED PROXIMITY OF THE VICTIM. THIS GRANT COVERS THE COST OF 1400 UNITS AND UP TO 126,000 ACTIVE MONITORING DAYS PER UNIT.
