THE ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN CREATED TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL RESOURCES FOR YOUTH FOCUSED WATER SAFETY ACTIVITIES PROGRAMS AND TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERY CHILD TO BE SAFE IN AND AROUND THE WATER.

SWIM FOR CHARLIE COMPLETED ITS 3ND YEAR OF WATER SAFETY AND BASIC SWIMMING SKILLS LESSONS FOR NORTH CAROLINA 2ND GRADE STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM IS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY AND IS PART OF THEIR HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM. DURING THE 2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR THE PROGRAM OFFERED FREE 8 50-MINUTE LESSONS TO 1165 STUDENTS AT 5 SITES. THE PROGRAM SERVED 7 ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS AND 9 DURHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
