ACCELERATE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO EYEGLASSES FOR ONE BILLION PEOPLE. EYELLIANCE ADVANCES FOUR MUTUALLY REINFORCING GLOBAL AND NATIONAL STRATEGIES, GOV DELIVERY, SUSTAINABLE FINANCING, INSTITUTIONAL ADVOCACY, AND CATALYTIC PARTNERSHIPS.

GOVERNMENT DELIVERY: EYELLIANCE ENABLES GOVERNMENTS TO EFFICIENTLY INTEGRATE EYEGLASSES INTO PUBLIC HEALTH AND EDUCATION SYSTEMS BY SYSTEMATIZING PROVEN MODELS OF DELIVERY. EYELLIANCE WORKED ALONGSIDE THE LIBERIAN MINISTRIES OF HEALTH AND EDUCATION TO SUPPORT THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMUNITY EYE HEALTH AND SCALE UP SCHOOL EYE HEALTH. EYELLIANCE LAUNCHED A PILOT PROGRAM WITH THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH TRAINING COMMUNITY HEALTH ASSISTANTS TO CONDUCT VISION SCREENINGS, DISPENSE READING GLASSES, AND REFER PATIENTS ONTO ADVANCED CARE AS NEEDED. THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH INCLUDED THIS PROGRAM IN THE NEW 2022-2030 NATIONAL POLICY WHILE EYELLIANCE SUPPORTED THE INTEGRATION OF READING GLASSES INTO THE GOVERNMENT-MANAGED SUPPLY CHAIN FOR HEALTH COMMODITIES. EYELLIANCE CODIFIED LEARNINGS AND CULTIVATED CAPABILITIES IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND HEALTH TO SCALE ITS SCHOOL EYE HEALTH PROGRAM. 1,985 PUBLIC SECTOR STAFF WERE TRAINED TO CONDUCT VISION SCREENINGS, A SUBSET WERE TRAINED TO ALSO DISPENSE READING GLASSES151,360 CHILDREN AND ADULTS RECEIVED A VISION SCREENING 1,745 PAIRS OF EYEGLASSES WERE DISPENSED.SUSTAINABLE FINANCING: EYELLIANCE INFLUENCES AND INCREASES NEW FINANCING WITHIN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS EYELLIANCE SUPPORTED FOUR OPTICAL ENTREPRENEURS IN LATIN AMERICA TO ATTEND A FINANCIAL MODELING BOOTCAMP WITH THE GOAL OF INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW INVESTMENT IN THEIR INCLUSIVE OPTICAL BUSINESSES. CATALYTIC PARTNERSHIPS: EYELLIANCE GROWS THE ECOSYSTEM OF CHAMPIONS THAT JOIN IN THE SOLUTION AND ACCELERATE GLOBAL SCALE THE WORLD BANK AND THE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR EDUCATION BOTH REQUESTED THAT EYELLIANCE HOST A WEBINAR ON THE PATH TO NATIONAL SCALE OF SCHOOL EYE HEALTH AND ITS IMPACT POTENTIAL FOR THEIR COUNTRY AND REGIONAL TEAM LEADS. EYELLIANCE JOINED FORCES WITH THE CLINTON HEALTH ACCESS INITIATIVE TO REPLICATE THE SCHOOL EYE HEALTH MODEL PIONEERED IN LIBERIA IN NEW COUNTRIES.
