NEW VILLAGE ALLIANCE CONNECTS GROUPS AND VILLAGES IN THE UNITED STATES WITH RURAL VILLAGES IN UGANDA FOR SUPPORT OF ORPHANS AND DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN, RURAL DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT OF WOMEN'S GROUPS. WE FUND EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN THE AREA OF KYAMULIBWA VILLAGE, IN KALUNGU DISTRICT, UGANDA THROUGH OUR SISTER ORGANIZATION, SAVE KYAMULIBWA ALLIANCE UGANDA,(SKAU). WE HELP ADVANCE OTHER VILLAGE ALLIANCES THROUGH CONSULTATION AND SOME ON SITE VERIFICATION IN UGANDA BUT PROVIDE NO ACTUAL FUNDING TO OTHER ALLIANCES.

OUR ORPHAN/DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM PAYS FOR BOARDING SCHOOL, FOOD (WHEN SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION) AND BASIC SUPPLIES SUCH AS A MATTRESS, BLANKET, MOSQUITO NET AND HYGIENIC SUPPLIES, AS REQUIRED BY THE SCHOOL, ST. ALOYSIUOS SCHOOL (NON-RELIGIOUS) IN KYAMULIBWA, UGANDA. SPECIFIC CHILDREN ARE SPONSORED BY SPECIFIC DONORS WHO CAN SEE CHILDREN'S' PROGRESS DURING THE YEAR ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE. ALL EXPENSES ARE PAID BY THE GRANTS TO OUR UGANDAN SISTER ORGANIZATION (SKAU) EXCEPT TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS FOR OUR VISITING REPRESENTATIVE WHO PAYS FOR HIS OWN EXPENSES FOR THE VISIT.


IN 2019 WE BEGAN CONSTRUCTION OF A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING TO HOUSE 25 TO 30 OF OUR SPONSORED CHILDREN. WE SAW COMPLETION OF THE MAJOR STRUCTURES AND THE BUILDING BECAME HABITABLE AND FUNCTIONING. THE OPENING OF THIS FACILITY HAS BEEN DELAYED DUE TO GOVERNANCE ISSUES THAT AROSE IN 2021. THESE ISSUES ARE CURRENTLY IN PROCESS OF RESOLUTION BY THE UGANDAN COURTS. UNTIL RESILUTION OF THIS ISSUE THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN ON HOLD.


WE PROVIDED SUPPORT TO A SMALL AGRICULTURAL PROGRAM BASED IN PERMACULTURE PRACTICE.
