THE CENTER FOR BLACK, BROWN, AND QUEER STUDIES CONDUCTS RESEARCH ON ISSUES RELATED TO RACE, GENDER, SEXUALITY, SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS, AND COLONIALISM. IT PROVIDES MENTORSHIPS TO STUDENTS, ACTIVISTS, AND ARTISTS, AMOUNG OTHERS ENGAGED WITH THESE ISSUES, AND ORGANIZES EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES.

1. RECRUITED 12 FELLOWS BASED ON OPEN NATIONAL COMPETITION THAT RECEIVED ABOUT 120 APPLICATIONS. 2. CREATED THE PEDAGOGY LAB TO PROVIDE OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO K-12 STUDENTS OF COLOR AND RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE HEWLETT FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT THE LAB.
