Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
IN 2019, WE SELECTED 24 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM 4 DIFFERENT HIGH SCHOOLS IN SOUTH KOREA AND JAPAN TO ATTEND A 10-DAY, ALL EXPENSE PAID EDUCATIONAL TRIP BETWEEN THE TWO NATIONS FROM JULY 26 THROUGH AUGUST 5, 2019. THE STUDENTS WERE CHALLENGED WITH AN ENGLISH IMMERSIVE ENVIRONMENT, TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO TAKE RISKS, EMBRACE LEARNING AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER AS THEY PRACTICED THEIR ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS. FURTHERMORE, THE STUDENTS WERE CIVICALLY ENGAGED AND ASKED TO APPLY THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS BY ADDRESSING SOCIAL ISSUES IN A FINAL PROJECT. THE STUDENTS SPENT MOST OF THEIR TIME IN UNFAMILIAR, YET GUIDED TERRITORY, WHERE THEY WERE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE NEW CULTURES THROUGH EXCURSIONS AND GROUP ACTIVITIES. ADDITIONAL COSTS WERE INCURRED DUE TO TIMING OF PAYMENTS. A SIMILAR PROGRAM WILL BEGIN IN 2022, AS ACTIVITIES HAD TO BE CANCELED FOR 2020 & 2021.
