FOLKWEST PROMOTES LIVE ACOUSTIC, ROOTS, FOLK AND BLUEGRASS MUSIC THROUGH ITS TWO ANNUAL MUSIC FESTIVALS (PAGOSA FOLK 'N BLUEGRASS AND THE FOUR CORNERS FOLK FESTIVAL) AND EDUCATIONAL MUSIC CAMP HELD EACH JUNE IN PAGOSA SPRINGS, COLORADO. 2019 WAS ITS FINAL YEAR OPERATING THESE FESTIVALS AND CAMPS.

THE 24TH ANNUAL FOUR CORNERS FOLK FESTIVAL TOOK PLACE OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND AND FEATURED NATIONALLY TOURING FOLK, ACOUSTIC, BLUEGRASS AND AMERICANA ARTISTS INCLUDING BILLY STRINGS, THE EARLS OF LEICESTER, AMY HELM, DARRELL SCOTT, MOLLY TUTTLE, THE MAMMALS AND MORE. THE EVENT HAD A 3-DAY ATTENDANCE OF JUST OVER 9,800 PEOPLE.


THE 14TH ANNUAL PAGOSA FOLK 'N BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL WAS HELD JUNE 7-9, 2019. THE MUSICAL LINEUP INCLUDED 13 INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL AND REGIONAL ACTS WHO PERFORMED AND TAUGHT TRADITIONAL FOLK, BLUEGRASS AND OLD TIME MUSIC TO AN ALL-AGES AUDIENCE. MUSICAL LINEUP INCLUDED THE DEL MCCOURY BAND, THE TRAVELIN' MCCOURYS, SIERRA HULL, KATE LEE & FOREST O'CONNOR AND MORE.


THE PAGOSA SPRINGS BLUEGRASS JAM CAMPS WERE HELD JUNE 4-6, 2019, IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE PAGOSA FOLK 'N BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL. CAMP WAS ATTENDED BY 70 STUDENTS FROM BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE, WHO PARTICIPATED IN INTENSIVE INSTRUCTIONAL SESSIONS CULMINATING IN A CAMP PERFORMANCE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS ON THE FESTIVAL STAGE.
