CULVER CITY FORWARD (CCF) HAS MANY LONG-TERM ENDEAVORS AND PROGRAMS IN PROGRESS. CCF RECENTLY COMPLETED THE APPLICATION FOR A MAJOR NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION GRANT, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PARDEE CENTER FOR LONG RANGE GLOBAL POLICY AT THE RAND CORPORATION & THE UCLA INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT STUDIES WITHIN THE LUSKIN SCHOOL OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS. THIS GRANT WILL FUND A STUDY OF THE TRANSITION IN MOBILITY ON THE WESTSIDE OF LOS ANGELES. THE FOCUS OF THIS STUDY IS THE PROGRESSION FROM A CAR CENTRIC COMMUNITY TO A COMMUNITY THAT EMBRACES ADDITIONAL MODES OF TRANSPORTATION.CCF ALSO RECENTLY COMPLETED AN APPLICATION TO A GRANT PROGRAM FUNDED BY THE REAL ESTATE FIRM CBRE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LIVABLE COMMUNITIES INITIATIVE, A GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION BASED IN LOS ANGELES THAT ADDRESSES TRANSFORMATIONS IN HOUSING AND MOBILITY.CCF WAS AN ORGANIZER IN PLANNING THE VERDE EXCHANGE CONFERENCE HELD IN LOS ANGELES. CCF WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN GAINING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY COUNCIL, INC (EIS) WITH THIS CONFERENCE, WHERE THE PRESIDENT OF EIS WAS A KEY SPEAKER. CCF ALSO ORGANIZED PANELS ON DIGITAL TWIN TECHNOLOGY AND ALTERNATIVE MODES OF TRANSPORTATION IN LOS ANGELES.CCF WORKED CLOSELY THE CONSULATE OF THE NETHERLANDS BUSINESS ENVOY TO BRING SEVERAL DELEGATIONS AND BUSINESS GROUPS FROM AMSTERDAM TO CULVER CITY AND LOS ANGELES, PARTNERING WITH THE LOS ANGELES CLEAN TECH INCUBATOR AND THE WESTSIDE URBAN FORUM, FOCUSING ON MOBILITY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT.CCF AND THOMAS SMALL CONTINUED TO WORK AS CHAIR OF THE SUSTAINABILITY COUNCIL OF THE LOS ANGELES METRO TRANSIT AUTHORITY (LA METRO). CCF ALSO PARTICIPATED IN NUMEROUS EVENTS WITH THE THOMAS MANN HOUSE, A THINK TANK IN PACIFIC PALISADES WHERE SMALL SERVES ON THE ADVISORY BOARD. HE ALSO SERVED ON THE LOS ANGELES ADVISORY BOARD TO THE URBAN LAND INSTITUTE, AS WELL AS THE URBAN LAND INSTITUTE MOBILITY COUNCIL.
