BEYOND THE KNOWN PROVIDED ALL ITS GRANTS TO FOUNDATION BTK COSTA RICA, A PRIVATE FOUNDATION FORMED IN COSTA RICA. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED 190,000 MEALS TO OVER 450 POVERTY-STRICKEN FAMILIES INCLUDING 1,150 CHILDREN THROUGH 6 FEEDING CENTER PARTNERSHIPS. ADDITIONALLY, THEY DELIVERED OVER 5,800 FOOD BAGS TO MORE THAN 26 COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE NORTHERN PACIFIC REGION OF COSTA RICA WITH 8 DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS. THE PRE-NATAL PROGRAM SERVED OVER 165 MOTHERS IN FOUR (4) PREGNANCY CENTERS. THE FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED A COMMUNITY FARM IN LA FORTUNA, BAGACES PARTNERING WITH THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL TO ASSIST OVER 250 STUDENTS WITH AGRICULTURAL TECHNICAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, INVESTED IN A MEAT PROCESSING CENTER FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL AND PROVIDED PIGS FOR PRACTICAL MEAT PROCESSING TRAINING.
