NORA RECREATION PROGRAMS: NORA OFFERS APPROXIMATELY 20 DIFFERENT PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS; THE ANNUAL AVERAGE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS IS 5,000. THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC CANCELLED MANY OF THE REGULAR ANNUAL PROGRAMS DURING THE FIRST HALF OF THE REPORTING FISCAL YEAR. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YOUTH ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE NORA YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP FUND SO A CHILD CAN PARTICIPATE IN ANY ACTIVITY IF DESIRED. IN PAST SUMMER MONTHS, 53 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED THROUGH THE PROGRAM SO PARTICIPANTS COULD PARTICIPATE IN VARIOUS PROGRAMS.
NORA RECREATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL: NORA RUNS A RECREATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR YOUTH DURING THE MONTHS OF JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST. THIS PROGRAM RUNS AT TWO LOCATIONS IN THE AREA ON WEEKDAYS AND SERVES OVER 200 YOUTH. NORA HIRES SEASONAL STAFF FOR THIS PROGRAM.
